Dr. Sonia Sandhar grew up in the UK and moved to Canada in 1997. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and minor in Kinesilogy at Simon Fraser University. She then graduated with her Doctor of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2008. She fulfilled her clinical internship in a multi-specialty ophthalmology rotations including the Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut, Eye Centers of South florida and New Jersey VA Medical Center. She also completed a speciality contact lens rotation in San Jose. She is experienced in managing a wide range of pathology cases, including ocular disorders of the cornea and retina and now specializes in primary care.
Dr. Serena Kooner was born and raised in Surrey, BC. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at the University of British Columbia. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in 2014. As part of her professional training, Dr. Kooner completed externships at the Central Texas Veterans Affairs Hospital in Waco, Texas and Manatee Rural Health Services in Bradenton, Florida. She also completed a vision therapy and binocular dysfunction externship at Family Optometry in Chandler, Arizona. Dr. Kooner has a special interest in ocular disease and binocular vision.
Dr. Jaskirn Gill was born and raised in Surrey, BC. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 2014. Dr. Gill completed a private practice internship in Lantana, Florida where he gained valuable experience in contact lens and pediatrics. He also completed a rotation at the Lake City VAMC in Florida. Dr. Gill’s areas of interest include pediatrics, contact lens, and primary care. He is also fluent in Punjabi.
